Outdoor lighting

Most outdoor lighting on the Gold Coast is an afterthought. Big floodlights bolted to the eave that turn the backyard into a stadium. Path lights from a hardware store on a 240V cable that an electrician fitted last-minute. The result is glare, bugs, and a yard that looks worse with the lights on than off.

Lux outdoor lighting is the opposite. We design the lighting plan when we design the landscape — the conduit goes in during the build, the fixtures are spec'd to the materials, and the whole system runs at 12V on a single dimmable transformer. You get layered light: low ground-level uplights through trees, soft path lighting in the garden, accent lighting on the architectural features, deck strip-lighting at the steps. None of it harsh. All of it intentional.

The result is a backyard that's actually usable at night. Entertainers can sit out past 9pm without insect floodlight clouds. Kids' play areas have visibility without glare. The architecture is flattered. The mood is calm. And because it's 12V, there's no licensed-electrician overhead for changes — we can re-aim, re-spec, or extend the system any time.
