Sandy coastal soils throughout. Imported topsoil and amended planting beds are standard — Tugun's native sand alone won't sustain a serious garden.

Free-draining sand. Roof and paving runoff is the main drainage consideration on small blocks; soakwell sizing is the variable that matters.
Block Profile
Compact 400-600m² blocks across most of Tugun. Tight access on many original streets — wheelbarrow-and-hand work is sometimes the only option.
